how does change get involved?
We knew from the beginning: our visions are so big that we need support from experienced women's rights activists who share their experiences with us and help us spread our message. We as a brand can use our reach, our financial resources and most importantly our creations to provide the best possible support! In order to make a difference, we were looking for a partner organization that represents our values, gives us a transparent insight into how funds are used and involves us in the projects we support.
With the filia women's foundation, we have found just such a partner. As sponsors, we support and enable projects by and for women and girls. Hereby we pave the way to a non-violent, self-determined future and draw all our energy from seeing with our own eyes how many women and girls we can not only put a smile on their faces, but also offer a perspective for their entire lives.
the women's organization filia
filia's mission is to provide funds and "transform" them by channeling money into activities by women and girls for women and girls. The goal that unites them all: Change, not Charity - social change, not welfare! In 2001, the founders opted for the community foundation model: it is designed for a growing community that invests capital and ideas so that women gain more power and influence. In this way, filia brings together the women's movement and foundation work. filia is a platform for empowering women and girls. By the end of 2021, filia has supported over 530 projects in more than 50 countries.
what projects do we support?
Behind our sustainable designs is much more than 'just' an environmentally conscious brand! We create real eye-catchers for a good cause and the best part is: with every slow fashion piece you buy, YOU automatically become an active supporter of a female empowerment project! You don't have to do anything else. Sounds impossible? But it is very simple! For every Batik Case you buy, we donate 10% of the proceeds to Filia and our current support projects. Thank you for helping us to empower girls and women.
menstrulka
Why is the topic of menstruation still tainted with shame? The founders of MenstrUlka from Wroclaw want to change that. They install eye-catching pink boxes in the city, through which they provide pads and tampons free of charge to homeless women*. In workshops and conversations with girls* and women*, they talk about menstruation and encourage a self-confident approach to one's own body.
brave girls
The "Brave Girls" are a group of young women* from Walbrzych, Poland, who no longer want to accept that equality only exists on paper. The Brave Girls educate themselves, exchange ideas with other feminist organizations and are contact persons* for women and girls* from their region.
how much were we able to donate already with your help?
So far, we have created a case together with Filia and given 10% of the proceeds of this case to Filia for sponsorship. With your help, we have already raised €4,332 in donations. With the donations we have, among other things, set up a self-defense course for women and girls.
